Established in 2007, Austin Art Garage was created to expose talented emerging artists and offer art enthusiasts, from all socio-economic backgrounds, an opportunity to invest in art created within their community. This may be your rare opportunity to acquire beautiful locally made art early in an artist's career while its still attainable and become a part of their story. Excellent spot for picking up art from local artists. If they don't have a particular size of a certain piece you're looking for just ask the employees. They can reach out to the artist to see if it's attainable. A lot of artist that seek work at the blue genie Christmas market can be found here. So if you were eyeing something at blue genie but didn't pull the trigger on a purchase (my wife and I every year...). I would definitely stop by here to see if they have it. This place is soooooo cool. Features the best local art Austin has to offer. Lots of fun mixed media work, cool dreamy robots, and features of some of my favorite iconography: analog music players. If it were easier to fly with, I would've picked up "turntable #1" in a heartbeat.
