On March 11th 2016, Austin Art Garage Co-Founder, Jake Bryer, was asked to do an Austin themed art show at a small DNC fundraiser with President Obama during 2016 SXSW. Due to a planned family trip, he wasn't able to go, but sent his mother in his place. He was asked to make 7-8 huge 80x60" art pieces to hang along the walls of the tents, 7 for the dinner tent and one for the backdrop for photos with the president. In addition, he made 5 custom original pieces for the President to sign for several of the coordinators of the event. Every piece sold at the fundraiser.
