Abi's paintings are love letters to the people and moments they represent.
"Our living spaces encompass physical reminders of moments and memories. These things act as metaphors. Our days are filled with seemingly mundane moments, but things I used to overlook in boredom are now the things I reflect on most. I take objects that are jam-packed with humanity, love, and loss and transform them into modern artifacts. My paintings explore the sentimentality of inanimate things."
Abi graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and moved to Austin to pursue a creative career. Currently, her work focuses on human connection, nostalgia, and the emotional tenor of spaces and things.
