Erica Prasad is an Indian-American painter with a passion for adventure.

Erica primarily works in oil paint on canvas, but also enjoys creating large murals and small gouache paintings on paper. Originally from Jefferson City, Missouri, she has traveled extensively. She lived on the road for five years before calling Austin, Texas home in 2020. Travel and the people she has met along the way provide inspiration for much of her work. 

She has been painting for as long as she can remember. She earned her B.A. in Studio Art from Saint Louis University and transitioned into art full-time in 2020. Since then, she has maintained a daily studio practice at Canopy and had her first solo show at the Cathedral ATX in September 2021. 

She is currently working on her second solo show with plans to exhibit nine new original works this fall. Erica has a passion for creating art that moves her viewers and makes them feel. She hopes viewers will be able to place themselves inside her paintings and gain a beautiful, expanded worldview.
