MOOCHIE is a native Texan who has called the Hill Country his home for the past 10 years. MOOCHIE became a stay-at-home parent to raise his daughter and foster multiple children since 2014 after graduating from Hardin-Simmons University. His exploration into the arts began right before the pandemic and is largely inspired by his love for the Central Texas beer and distilling community as well as doing still life paintings that “shouldn’t exist” like fast food and candy. 

“I’ve never thought of myself as an artist -still don’t, really- but I have always loved a challenge and I love working with my hands. Creating something that didn’t exist doesn’t feel good… it feels necessary. I’m still exploring different art mediums and subject matters, but right now I’m happy painting the things I enjoy, such as craft beer, whiskey and junk food.”
